The Congress of Future Medical Leaders, a signature program of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, brings together high-achieving high school and college students from across the country who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and biomedical research.

 

Throughout the Congress, students hear from leaders in medicine and science, explore future careers and meet other motivated students with similar academic and professional goals. This year, the experience also welcomed attendees into a new community beyond the Congress.

 

Welcome to The Society of Torch & Laurel

 

During the Congress, attendees were officially inducted into The Society of Torch & Laurel by Founder and CEO Steve Loflin.

 

Through their induction, Congress attendees joined a national community of high-achieving students preparing for college, exploring future careers and looking for opportunities to continue learning and growing.

 

Torch & Laurel membership gives students a way to build on the Congress experience throughout the year. Members can connect with other high-achieving students, learn from college students and professionals, participate in virtual programming and access resources designed to support their transition from high school to college.

 

Continuing the Congress Experience

 

Congress attendees can begin exploring their Torch & Laurel membership right away, including member resources, programs and opportunities to stay connected with the community. Attendees also have the option to upgrade to a Premium Torch & Laurel Membership, which provides additional benefits and college preparation resources for students looking to get even more out of their membership.

 

For many students, the Congress is an exciting step toward a future in medicine or biomedical research. Through The Society of Torch & Laurel, attendees now have another way to stay connected, continue preparing for college and build relationships with other students working toward their goals.
